Colio Estate Winery
Colio was founded in 1980 and was one of Canada’s very first wineries. “Located in Canada’s warmest wine-growing region near the sunny shores of Lake Erie, Colio was founded by three Italian bricklayers with a dream of creating a world-class winery. Today, every wine is crafted with the patience, determination and spirit of their founders.” You can visit Colio Monday to Saturday from 12pm-5pm for wine tastings.
Flat Rock Cellars
Wait until you see this five level winery that offers visitors Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Flat Rock Cellars is recognized as one of Canada’s best wineries. “Since opening in 2005, Ed Madronich has injected fun and enthusiasm into both the wine and the winery experience. The five-level gravity-fed winery sits atop the escarpment with an incredible 360° view of the vineyards, Lake Ontario and the Toronto Skyline.” You can come and have a wine tasting everyday from 10am-6pm, this includes Satuday and Sunday.
Inniskillen Niagara Estate Wines
Guests will be happy to know that Inniskillen Niagara Estate Wines is open for wine tastings all year round. This is great if you’re visiting during the off season! Located on Niagara-on-the-Lake, this winery offers exclusive Icewines and premium table wine. “Visit the historic Brae Burn Barn to taste and shop, and the Founders’ Hall culinary centre. Seasonally, the outdoor Market Grill on our Piazza is the scenic vineyard setting to enjoy casual lunches and a glass of our finest!” Those wanting to come and visit Inniskillen Niagara Estate Wines can come daily between 10am and 5pm.
